Jason Wurtzel is the Executive Director of Digital Technology at Ogilvy, an international advertising, marketing, and public relations agency. Based in New York and supporting digital delivery throughout North America, he leads a department comprised of technology directors, front-end and server-side developers, creative technologists, QA analysts, and DevOps engineers on projects ranging from deep platform integrations to highly experiential digital campaigns.

During his Ogilvy tenure, Jason has expanded the role of technology at the agency – internally through introduction of the creative technology discipline, and externally through partnerships with software and service providers. He is responsible for technical delivery across all active client engagements, including current initiatives for IBM, Nestlé, and American Express.

Jason came to Ogilvy after serving as Technology Director at Renegade, a New York based boutique marketing agency, where he led the technology group on projects for Gilda's Club, Gale International, and Panasonic.

to Renegade, he was Technical Director at IconNicholson (now LBi), where he worked hands-on for over a decade to bring clients out of the brochure-ware era with custom built, richly interactive experiences including: EMI Music Publishing's first fully searchable music catalogue with online licensing tools; pioneering touch-screen, RFID, and hand-held device driven in-store experiences for Prada's flagship Broadway location; and the extension of The Metropolitan Museum of Art into the online realm with a web presence including a high-resolution gallery featuring hundreds of curated art objects, an online store, and a custom suite of content management tools.

Jason began his professional career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in San Francisco, starting in the change management practice and moving to the emerging technology practice during the earliest days of the web. There, he worked with major West Coast clients including Pacific Bell and Netscape (yes, that early!). Along the way, his team's work has garnered accolades from The Webby Awards, D&AD, The Mashies, The FWA, the Effies, and the Cannes Lions. Jason holds a B.S. in Engineering from Cornell University.
